Leitura rápida e agradável e foi-me possivel verificar os casais anteriores do livro, Virgin River.

Esta é história do cozinheiro do bar, mais conhecido como Preacher, o homem grande e silencioso que é parceiro de Jack, qué é surpreso com as suas reações ao conhecer  Paige e o seu filho, Chris, fugindo do marido que lhe bateu e perdida na zona num dia de mau tempo.
Outras personagens aparecem e vamos conhecendo o que lhes espera, Melinda, mulher de Jack, espera o primeiro filho do casal e ainda continua a trabalhar como enfermeira, Nick o caçula que estuda e trabalha part-time no bar aparecendo igualmente com a sua namorada, Liz qu está grávida. Esta parte a mais trágica deste romance com a morte do bébé a poucos dias de nascer. Até o homem desconhecido, fica mais próximo desta comunidade quando ajuda Jack, Preacher e vários outros com o delegado a capturar o marido e a soltar Paige.
