Jornal de Jardinagem = Garden journal 1

Devido a tantas fotos que tenho desde que comecei a minha horta decide aplicá-las. Sim, claro mas a questão é aonde, porque ter tantas fotos somente sobre o crescimento das plantas é de doidos, mas arranjá-las de forma esteticamente embelezadora não.
Ao pesquisar por vários sítios na net encontrei um pap bastante modesto mas mesmo assim útil de como fazer e embelezar um album de jardim ou jornal. Retirado do site eHome, segue abaixo:

Open the composition journal and lay it on your work table so that the front and back are facing up. With your choice of acrylic colors, paint the front and back of the journal in random strokes. You don't have to completely hide the journal since you'll be covering it with embellishments. Let dry.

Cover the length of the spine of the journal with a strip of fabric that complements your journal colors. Cut a square of fabric and attach it at an angle to the front (center) of the journal using white glue. Glue a contrasting ribbon around the fabric square as a border.

Attach embellishments (except the buttons and the little straw hat) in a random fashion to the front of the journal with white glue. If desired, glue embellishments to the back cover as well.

Cover the front and back journal covers generously with a decoupage medium to secure the embellishments and make the journal waterproof. Let dry.

Attach the buttons and little straw hat with hot glue. Attach the tassel to one end of the ribbon as a bookmark (slip one end of the ribbon through the opening of the tass

Tips & Warnings
Decoupage medium is "milky" when wet, but dries to a clear finish. Before gluing embellishments, experiment with layout arrangements before securing. Plan about 2 hours for this project.

Os Jogos da Fome III - A Revolta de Suzanne Collins

Ninguém diria mas cheguei ao fim com a sensação de dever cumprido. (͡๏̯͡๏) Adorei mesmo o livro ao contrário do que possam pensar. Tive alturas em ficava desnorteada, tal como a própria personagem principal, mas gostei do fim quebra com aquilo que lhe fazia mal: a relação com o suposto primo e sua busca por violência, o distrito 13, o poder do capitólio. Fez justiça e como tal teve que entregar pagamento pelo mal que plantou ao seu povo, mas por outro lado ao tornar-se um mártir deu aos outros uma forma de quebrar com a tradição, uma outra perspectiva de ver a vida e sua envolvente. E no fim conseguiu mesmo sem ter uma ideia decente do que queria concretizá-la livrar as gente dos tiranos existentes, sejam do distrito 1 ou 13. Ambos eram sim tiranos, de formas diferentes, mas os objectivos que requeriam eram exactamente iguais conquista de poder para manipular os outros. Sinopse:

Katniss Everdeen não devia estar viva. Mas, apesar dos planos do Capitólio, a rapariga em chamas sobreviveu e está agora junto de Gale, da mãe e da irmã no Distrito 13. Recuperando pouco a pouco dos ferimentos que sofreu na arena, Katniss procura adaptar-se à nova realidade: Peeta foi capturado pelo Capitólio, o Distrito 12 já não existe e a revolução está prestes a começar. A Vingança (Médium), de Meg Cabot

Apesar de ser um livro infanto-juvenil gostei de ler. Leitura leve relatando as desventuras amorosas de uma adolescente. Não reconhece, até quase no fim do livro, qual será o seu objetivo de vida. Começa a ter alguns vislumbres dele.

Sinopse:

Os fantasmas não vêem quando os chamamos, simplesmente aparecem...
Suze, uma jovem de dezasseis anos, só desejava que Jesse, o fantasma podre de bom que não desiste de se meter na vida dela, resolvesse aparecer naquele momento. Suze é uma médium e não consegue compreender os fantasmas de quatro alunos muito populares do liceu, que morreram num acidente de automóvel. Precisa de auxilio para os fazer voltar aonde pertencem.
Para agravar a situação parece que a morte dos alunos nada teve de acidental, e os quatros querem vingar-se... e não apenas do jovem que os matou, mas de qualquer um que se atravesse nos eu caminho.

As repetições no inicio irritam mas depois são engraçadas. No todo o livro demonstra as dificuldades existentes aquando de uma relação a dois e as inseguranças baseadas no passado infantil difícil. Sinopse:

Prometheus

Quando estavamos a espera da S., nos aconchegantes maples da Starbucks, no Rossio, que vemos um rapaz a entregar algo aos transentes, fui buscar um, faz já alguns dias, mas guardei pode sempre dar jeito. Algo era na realidade um pacote de vouchers para refeições fast food, cinema, kidzania, teleseguros, uma catrefada deles voltei e fui buscar mais várias vezes, e distribui pelas meninas :)
Ontem utilizei o primeiros destes vouchers para ir ao cinema. O primeiro que fui ver, com o voucher, foi Prometheus. A temática aborda a relação entre criador, aqui chamados de "Os Engenheiros", e os criados, nós os seres humanos. Bem como uma relação similar entre os filhos e os pais

As a hovering spacecraft departs a planet, a humanoid alien drinks a dark bubbling liquid, then starts to disintegrate. As the alien's bodily remains cascade into a waterfall, his DNA triggers a biogenetic reaction.
In 2089, archaeologist couple Elizabeth Shaw and Charlie Holloway discover a star map among several unconnected ancient cultures. They interpret this as an invitation from humanity's forerunners, the "Engineers". Peter Weyland, the elderly CEO of Weyland Corporation, funds the creation of the scientific vessel Prometheus to follow the map to the distant moon LV-223. The ship's crew travels in stasis while the android David monitors their voyage. Arriving in 2093, they are informed of their mission to find the Engineers. Mission director Meredith Vickers orders them to avoid making contact without her permission. The Prometheus lands near a large artificial structure, which a team explores.
Inside they find numerous stone cylinders, a monolithic statue of a humanoid head, and the corpse of a large alien, thought to be an Engineer. They find other bodies and presume the species is extinct. David secretly takes a cylinder, while the remaining cylinders begin leaking dark liquid. A rapidly approaching storm forces the crew to return to Prometheus, leaving crew members Millburn and Fifield stranded in the structure. In the ship, the Engineer's DNA is found to match that of humans. Meanwhile, David investigates the cylinder and discovers a dark liquid. He then taints a drink with the substance and gives it to Holloway. Shortly after, Shaw and Holloway have sex.
Inside the structure, a snake-like creature kills Millburn, and sprays a corrosive fluid that melts Fifield's helmet, exposing him to the leaking dark liquid. The crew later returns to the structure and finds Millburn's corpse. David separately discovers a control room containing a surviving Engineer in stasis, and a star map highlighting Earth. Holloway's ingestion of the dark liquid leads to an infection that rapidly ravages his body and he is rushed back to Prometheus. Vickers refuses to let him aboard, and at his urging, burns him to death with a flamethrower. Later, a medical scan reveals that Shaw, despite being sterile, is pregnant with an alien offspring. Shaw uses an automated surgery table to cut it out. Weyland is revealed to have been in stasis aboard Prometheus, and explains to Shaw he wants to ask the Engineers to prevent his death from old age. As Weyland prepares to leave for the structure, Vickers calls him "Father".
A mutated Fifield attacks the hangar bay and kills several crew members before being killed himself. The Prometheus' captain, Janek, speculates that the structure was part of an Engineer military base that lost control of its biological weapon, the dark liquid. Janek also determines that the underground structure is in fact a spaceship. Weyland and a team return to the structure and awaken the Engineer. David speaks to the Engineer, who responds by decapitating him and killing Weyland and his team. Shaw escapes the spaceship as the Engineer activates it. David's still-active head reveals the Engineer is going to release the liquid on Earth. Shaw convinces Janek to stop the Engineer's spaceship. Vickers and her lifeboat are ejected before Janek crashes Prometheus into the Engineer's spaceship. The Engineer's disabled spaceship crashes onto the planet, killing Vickers. Shaw goes to the lifeboat and finds her alien offspring, which is still alive and has grown to gigantic size. David warns Shaw over the intercom that the Engineer survived the crash. The Engineer bursts into the lifeboat and attacks Shaw. She releases her alien offspring onto the Engineer; it thrusts a tentacle down the Engineer's throat, subduing him. Shaw recovers David's remains, and with his help, they launch another Engineer spaceship. She intends to reach the Engineers' homeworld in an attempt to understand why they created humanity and later wanted to destroy it.
In the lifeboat, an alien creature bursts out of the Engineer's chest.

Livro de leitura rápida mas muito engraçado. Demonstra que as primeiras aparências nem sempre são as mais correctas, pelo menos neste caso.

Sinopse:

Saladinha de Favas

Mais uma receita que esperava tentar. Retirada do sitio do costume, de hoje não escapou.

Ingredientes para 2 pessoas:
350gr de favas frescas
1 chouriço de carne de boa qualidade
4 dentes de alho
1 raminho de coentros
azeite q.b.
vinagre de vinho branco q.b.
sal

Preparação:
Leve as favas a cozer em água temperada de sal juntamente com o couriço de carne.
Assim que as favinhas estiverm cozidas escorra-as bem e tempere-as com os coentros picados, os dentes de alho também picados, bastante azeite e vinagre a gosto.
Misture bem e adicione o chouriço partido em rodelinhas.
Sirva à temperatura ambiente.

Fica foto. Acabou cedo demais se querem saber mesmo utilizando favas congeladas achei que ficou bom ou tinha muita fome :)

O meu primeiro tomate

coradinho, aparece no meio verde, espreitando. Anda não está completamente vermelho, mas habemos tomate.

Mostro igualmente a beringela, que começa também a dar frutos, apesar de bem demorado mas tudo o que vem a rede é vegetal.

E ainda, mostro a flor. Quase parece uma rosa.


Ninguém diria que aquela belíssima flor se torna depois na courgette. Bem.

O feijão verde está a ficar enorme

FIA 2012

Os comboios trocaram-me as voltas e cheguei mais de uma hora atrasada ao ponto de encontro, mas cheguei. Depois, mais uma epopeia entrando na fila para comprar os bilhetes para entrar, e sobrinha querida não trouxe cartão de estudante, oh well.
E finalmente entramos na FIL.
Aquisições, no ano passado a P. comprou colheres de pau, este ano não foi excepção, e eu e a E. juntamo-nos igualmente na aquisição deste artefacto essencial na cozinha, que é dificil encontrar em algumas alturas.

Antes, eu deliciei-me com uma lancheira, tem loja no cascaishopping mas não encontrei blog. Pixizbeke. É mais larga que as normais e rectangular, em vez de quadrada, sendo assim dá para levar a sopa e o prato bem como mais alguma coisa para os lanches a meio. E fantástico cabe tudo lá dentro (já experimentei).

Passamos igualmente pelas várias bancas com os produtos tipicos das regiões. Dos mais diversificados sabores de fruta e para as mais variadas bolsas. Lembrete para a compota de melancia e alfazema, sabia mesmo bem, mas infelizmente o preço achei excessivo. No fim fui-me regalar, mais a E., em outros doces, igualmente de lamber os beiços, mais este de gila, uma das minhas perdições para mim, para ela jardins secretos. Este doce é feito não com fruta mas com plantas, não tão normal mas igualmente delicioso. E não foi preciso muito mas fomos convencidos a provar o licor de limão, medalha de prata, depois o de laranja, medalha de ouro (laranja amarga), e ainda o de jardins secretos. Qualquer um deles uma delicia. Veio uma garrafa para casa do de limão humm

E no meio da azafama de ver banquinhas e banquinhas fui ainda a DMC levantar algumas das revistas que eles sempre oferecem. Os problemas dos anos anteriores mantiveram-se, poucas caixas multibanco, e aparentemente, poucos vieram abonados e tiveram de ir para a fila. Eu inclusive para mal da E. Notou-se igualmente que a parte da restauração sofreu ainda este ano mais uns cortes, em falta várias entidades e muito espaço aberto e disponível.

Os Jogos da Fome - Em chamas, Livro II

Na praia a ler é o meu paraíso tanto que acabei de ler o livro no domingo, e à pala apanhei um escaldão pequeno atrás dos joelhos, só a mim.
Lê-se num apice tão emocionante é a história, que não consegui, a não ser por breves momentos, deixar o livro de lado, daí o escaldãozinho.
Utiliza o mesmo subterfúgio do primeiro livro, só no fim da leitura completamos a estratégia utilizada tanto nos jogos em si como na envolvência socio-económica desta distopia neste segundo livro. A denotação primal inicia no primeiro livro mas nós, os leitores, somente notamos a nuvem que paira nas imediações mas nunca, nunca conseguimos apontar o dedo. Inesquecível

Sinopse:

Contra todas as expectativas, não só Katniss Everdeen venceu os Jogos da Fome, como pela primeira vez na história desta competição dois tributos conseguiram sair da arena com vida. Mas o que para Katniss e Peeta não passou de uma estratégia desesperada para não terem de escolher entre matar ou morrer, para os espectadores de todos os distritos foi um acto de desafio ao poder opressivo do Capitólio. Agora, Katniss e Peeta tornaram-se os rostos de uma rebelião que nunca esteve nos seus planos. E o Capitólio não olhará a meios para se vingar…
