Leitura agradável sobre livros e as rivalidades no mundo editorial personificadas nas personagem de Nora (agente literário) e Charlie (editor), o casal aqui retratado, com muito bate-boca entre eles salientando o conhecimento de livros que têm e é engraçado.
Depois temos outra questão focal, além do romance obviamente, que é a forma como retratam os traumas de Nora, sem muitos complexos e que existem, e é esta personagem que dentro do livro dá um livro, o tal Frigid que junta estes opostos.
Ela é retratada como ambiciosa, independente, cabra profissional que leva a sua avante (ou se calhar é simplesmnete uma boa profissional em prol dos seus clientes), e no fim acaba por conseguir o que quer, traumatizada com a perda da mãe, devido a tal ficou com ansiedade e insónias mas igualmente que se tornou mãe da irmã mais nova, Libby, satisfazndo-lhe todas as vontades, e que, tem sido nos últimos tempos abandonada pelos namorados em favor do tipo de mulher mais caseiro. Na questão da irmã acho que não ajudou muito mas neste tipo de relações tende-se a cortar as amarras, mais cedo ou mais tarde, demonstrado um pouco pelo comportamento de Libby, do qual existe pouco conteúdo.
